Web Deals - Stimulating The Economy And Relationships

Everyday, I get emails from both Groupon and Living Social with special offers that are available for a limited time. These offers vary from discounts on cruises, flights, events, movies, food and even excercise classes. A majority of these businesses that are offering these services are typically offering a deal that gets you at least half off the original cost. Like most people, I'm drawn to deals and bargains.

Recently, I've started to take advantage of these deals. I used to just be annoyed when I was in my car listening to Pandora and an advertisement would come on about local deals, but now I actually pay attention. Why? Because it gets me "brownie points!" Think about it, if you are now able to give your significant other a gift for a very reasonable cost, sometimes up to 80% off of what it use to be, why wouldn't you? $26 for a half hour massage and facial? Sign me up!

The reality is that these businesses were most likely influenced by the struggling economy as a way to entice people to get back out there and have fun. So I say, let's take advantage of these offers while they're around. I'm all about stimulating the economy because I know everyone will benefit from that. But let's enjoy it while we're doing it!
