Peace Online!

We're constantly being updated or informed about international cultural and economic issues that affect us all on a daily basis via the web. Whether it's CNN, CBS, NBC or Facebook status updates and tweets from friends or leaders and representatives globally, I think that we can all see how online resources provide us with information about progress between nations taking place everyday. World peace is no new concept, but our means of accessing news pertaining to world peace and global progression is.

The reality is that, in growing numbers, we are now getting our news from online resources as opposed to the traditional method via TV or newspapers. News events are streamed to online resources as soon as they're available, and considering that most of us aren't sitting in front of a TV all day, we use our computers or phones as our primary resources for keeping up with what's going on around the world. It doesn't stop there though, because we also utilize our online resources to make a statement. Whether we're promoting peace, recruiting for pro-peace activities or organizations, or being a part of a greater cause through online media, we can be on the giving and receiving end of positive global impact. International peace is going to be a constant up hill battle, but our ways of promoting it are going to be ever expanding.

September 21st is International Peace Day, also known as World Peace Day. The globally recognized event is approaching it's 30th year. It's recognized by several nations, political groups, military groups and people aroung the world. This year commemorates the 2nd annual Peace Day Global Broadcast, which shows how important, impactful and connected we can be now to this global cause. Stay connected HERE.
